All types of tickets including advance, off peak and anytime tickets can be amended. In each case the amendment process involves rebooking the journey and then claiming back a refund on the original ticket.
Please note: It is only possible to amend the time or date of a ticket and not the departure station or destination.
Before amending your tickets
It’s important to check the terms and conditions of the ticket you have purchased before rebooking your journey. If you have advance type tickets you will be limited to travelling on the trains you booked but If you have purchased a flexible fare, it may be possible to travel at a different time or even a different day with the existing tickets, although any seat reservations will not be valid on alternative services.
Making an amendment
If you wish to amend your train tickets you will need to make a completely new booking for the correct dates and times and then email email@example.com with the original booking reference and the replacement booking reference. Our refunds team will then cancel the original set of tickets and refund you on the face value of the tickets less a £10 admin fee . The admin fee is charged per booking reference (not per ticket) and the refund will go back to the card you originally paid with and may take up to 28 days to come back to you form the date your refund application is logged on our system.
If you ordered tickets to be sent to you by post or you have already collected them from the station we will need you to send the tickets back to the address below (recorded delivery recommended) before we are able to process a refund.
