Sometimes the sheer number of pieces of paper you receive can seem excessive. This is particularly true if several people are travelling and your journey has several different legs with different seat reservations and can be worse if you’ve booked split tickets with several splitting points.
Onboard the train
When your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a detailed itinerary telling you exactly which ticket you are travelling on for each section of the journey. You may wish to print this out and take it along with you on the day to avoid any confusion If in doubt, though, it’s perfectly fine to give the ticket inspector the whole bunch of tickets.
